Even though we've been home for about a month from our Italy trip, I still am captivated by the beauty of the countryside and the allure of Pompei, the ancient city that was destroyed by an eruption of Mt. Vesuvias. Because of the amount of ash that fell on this Roman city, it helped to preserve the city for generations to gain a glimpse into what 79 A.D must have looked like.
One of the fascinations of preservation, were the hundreds of vases and vessels that were preserved. This necklace personifies what I saw and how that transcended into this precious little piece. It is entirely handmade by me and is about 1" high and 3/4" wide. I love the handles that attach to the Sterling Silver Rolo Chain. The surface of the charm is two toned with Sterling Silver and 22kt Genuine Gold accents that add to the old world look of this Pompei Vessel Charm.
I offer three lengths for you to choose from. Photographed here, is the necklace at 18". This is beautiful by itself or as you can see from the photos, it can be easily layered with other pieces from our Woods and Willow collections.
If you like unique, talisman pieces then this beauty may be calling to you!
