This Woods and Willow Necklace design pays tribute to the Thunderbird with its wings outstretched to the sky. In Native American culture, the Thunderbird is a symbol of a sacred bearer of happiness unlimited.
There are three sections to this Native American inspired necklace and the first is the handmade, Sterling Silver, Thunderbird charm. I shaped the Sterling Silver around the outstretched wings of this majestic bird image. The middle section is an oval charm that is encircled with a handmade, Sterling Silver beaded strip. At the center is a bezel set Lapis Lazuli gemstone. Lapis Lazuli is best know for its deep, celestial blue hue and remains to be the universal symbol of royalty, wisdom and truth.
From this oval charm, are three stones - two Turquoise beads and at the center, is a teardrop of rich Amber. The combination of colors is a striking blend of Native American hues.
The three sections all together, measure a total of about 2 1/2" long and the photos depict it hanging from the Sterling Silver paperclip chain at 20". However, I offer two different options in the variation menu for you to choose from.
Please note: In one of the photos, I show other Lapis jewelry that would complement this necklace beautifully!
