During a recent trip to northern Italy, at every turn, we saw beautiful arches incorporated in the architecture!   Arches have symbolic meanings like openings, beginning and stepping through certain perspectives to see what’s on the other side.
 
Arch meaning also deals with initiation and ceremonies of renewal in many cultures. Walking through an archway represents the sloughing off of the old and moving into a new phase of life.
 
For these reasons, I designed our "Arches" necklace in Sterling and accented in Gold!  The simplicity of this handcrafted design is remin1scent of those graceful archways in churches, cathedrals, over ancient stain glassed windows, over waterways plus much more!
 
It is slightly domed, scalloped on the top and the surface motif is a raised floral design giving it a true Italia inspired vibe!  I used a Sterling Silver beaded bail from which a 14kt Gold-Filled Paperclip chain slips through.  The necklace has a 2" extender allowing you to wear this from 16" to 18" so that you can customize the layering with other necklaces from our collection or in your personal treasure trove!
